I’ve rounded up some inspiring websites  which all have something in common -  they all contain the basic site elements: header, navigation, sidebar, content, footer. Notice how the creativity and freedom of CSS design prevents them from all looking the same, regardless of their similarities in structure.

  • sign up for delicious or stumbleupon. install toolbar in your browser. find a couple of sites that you like and bookmark them in your account.
  • sign up for netvibes or igoogle, set to your browser’s homepage
  • set up google reader - subscribe to psdtuts, smashingmagazine and mylevel4
  • plug your social bookmarking tool (delicious or stumble) and your google reader into your home page (igoogle or netvibes)
  • send me (melissacabral@gmail.com) an email from your gmail account, subject: Night Web Class September 10
  • Read Ch 1 in CSS Mastery
  • Write a 1/2-page google document: “what is XML? What is RSS?”  (no copy + paste from wikipedia, etc. – put it into your own words!)
